What information I collect
Enquiry form: If you use the contact form, I collect the details you enter — your name, email address and your message.
Newsletter: If you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect the email address you sign up with (and your name, if the signup form asks for it). If open and click tracking is enabled in my email tool, I also receive information about whether my emails are opened or links in them are clicked. This helps me see which content readers find useful.
Why I collect it
To reply to your enquiry.
To send you the newsletter you signed up for, which may include training tips, updates and occasional offers for my services.
Sending an enquiry through the contact form does not subscribe you to the newsletter — you only get the newsletter if you sign up for it.
Your choices
Giving me your information is voluntary. If you don't provide an email address, I can't reply to your enquiry or send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by contacting me. Unsubscribe requests are actionned within five working days.
Who can access your information
I use service providers to run this site: Hostinger hosts the website (including the enquiry form), and MailerLite manages newsletter subscriptions and email delivery. These services may involve storing or processing personal information outside New Zealand. You can read their privacy policies at MailerLite and Hostinger.
I don't sell or trade your personal information to anyone.
How I protect your information
I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use or disclosure.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry and newsletter information only as long as I need it for the purposes above. If you unsubscribe, I stop sending you the newsletter, but I may keep a record of your unsubscribed status to avoid sending you further newsletter emails.
Seeing and correcting your information
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, and you can ask me to correct it if you think it's wrong. Just email me at staffordcollettnz@gmail.com.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your personal information, please contact me first so I can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

I may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows which version applies.
